Welcome to the Kingma Piano Studio! Concert pianist Dr. Joseph Kingma, NCTM, offers both in-person and online piano lessons (yes, you can learn piano from anywhere in the world!).
This is the first time our child has taken piano lessons and in our short three months with Dr. Kingma so far, we have been so impressed with how much he has learned! Dr. Kingma is great with kids—balancing teaching excellent technique while making it fun! I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in learning piano.

Teaching Philosophy
Dr. Kingma believes there is an artist within every student and it is the teacher’s responsibility to awaken and excite the student’s artistic energy. Drawing on his extensive experience as a performing artist, Dr. Kingma has the unique knowledge and ability to help every student develop virtuoso technique through musical means, eliminating the need for boring drills and exercises. Using techniques used to build his own approach to the piano, he gives his students the tools needed to overcome every musical and technical difficulty, which is evident in their many successes.
